In 2022, CMNTMusic (pronounced ‘Cement’ – music) made their debut with a self-titled, 3-song release that they dubbed the “all-new Curtailed Play (CP) music release format”. This genre-bending, innovative music duo heralds from Athens, Georgia, and was signed to 1Name Records in Spring 2023. This band of brothers are students at the University of Georgia. They are pursuing a bright music career in the iconic music scene that is the city of Athens, birthplace of major acts such as R.E.M. and the B-52’s. Brentsen Wyatt, the older of the two brothers, has produced every song released by the band, as well as performed vocals, keys, and guitar. Kaeden Wyatt is a master guitarist, lyricist, and vocalist that has also featured on many of the pair’s songs.

When asked what type of music they make, Brentsen is quick to say that “I consider our music genre-less, but we really just like so many types of music, we try to incorporate them all!”. And, judging by their discography, this is very accurate. Their debut release included a hard-hitting pop/rap track, a disco ballad, as well as a modern pop banger. After their debut, CMNTMusic released many singles, including an acoustic cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. According to CMNTMusic, they have many other types of songs in the works, including country, rock,, and much more!

CMNTMusic’s long-awaited full studio album, “this is not a test.” released March 29th, 2024. Starting off with an acoustic country ballad, the album takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster over the course of more than half an hour of music. CMNTMusic discusses love, loss, breakups, insecurity, and many more hard-hitting topics, while also keeping a message of positivity that points to a greater meaning of life through all of the hardships that people face. Mixing and matching pop, rap, country, folk, jazz, rock, indie, and dance styles of music, this album is sure to please the ears of any music fan. With many music videos released along with this album, CMNTMusic ultimately plans to relied on it’s fans for the success of their release, saying, “Our fans are the only ones who can take us to the next level. Our music is for everyone, and we hope everyone enjoys it!”
